Help & FAQ
Answers to the questions we get most. Can't find yours? Email support@subscriptionview.com.
What does SubscriptionView do?
It shows every recurring charge you pay for in one place. You connect the accounts you already use, run one sync, and get a dashboard with monthly totals, renewal dates and the option to mark things cancelled or ignored.
Where does the subscription data come from?
Mostly from receipts. When you connect Google, we read billing emails in your Gmail (read-only) and turn them into a list of recurring charges, including subscriptions from Apple, Amazon, Meta, X, Netflix, Spotify and hundreds of other merchants. Connecting X also lets us confirm an X Premium subscription through the X API.
Why can't you pull my subscriptions straight from Apple, Amazon or Meta?
Those providers don't expose a customer's billing history to third-party apps, only profile details. Connecting them verifies the account and lets us match their receipts in your mailbox to the right service. If a receipt never reaches a connected mailbox, we can't see that charge.
What exactly do you read in Gmail?
Only messages that look like receipts, invoices or renewal notices. We keep the sender, subject, date and amount of matching emails. Full message bodies are read only for Apple and Google Play receipts, where the product name lives in the body, and are never stored. Access is read-only and can be revoked at any time from your Google account or from the Connections page.
How is my data protected?
Provider tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. We never store passwords. Payments go through Stripe, so we never see card numbers. You can disconnect a provider, clear discovered subscriptions, or delete your whole account from Settings.
How do I sync again after connecting?
Use "Sync now" on the dashboard or "Sync all connected services" on the Connections page. One sync pulls every connected service. Each new connection also syncs automatically the moment it's connected.
A subscription is wrong or missing. What can I do?
Amounts and cadences are estimates from receipts. If a merchant sends receipts to a different mailbox, connect that Google account too. Use "Ignore" for one-off purchases we mistook for subscriptions and "Mark cancelled" for things you've already stopped. Email support with the merchant name and we'll improve detection.
How much does it cost?
Free for 1 day, then 10 per month. No card is needed to start the trial. When the trial ends you can subscribe to continue, or delete your account and all of its data.
How do I cancel?
Go to Billing → Manage billing. Cancelling stops future charges immediately; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. This removes your account, every provider connection and token, and all discovered subscriptions. If you have an active paid plan, cancel it first so you're not billed again.
